Such pipes are mainly for use in industrial pipework specified and designed in accordance with the BS EN 13480 series of standards. Part 1 covers non-alloy HFW and SAW steel tubes and pipes intended for room temperature service. BS EN 10217 steel tubes and pipes can be used for a whole range of applications including in building services, chemicals, industrial processes, oil and gas processing refining and distribution, shipbuilding, valve and fittings manufacture as well as for product development and commercial issues. Users will include: Steel strip, plate, tube and pipe designers and producers Steel pipe and tube specifiers, stockholders and distributors Providers of testing and assessment facilities Notified bodies under the PED The steel grades and properties for the carbon and low alloy steel grades are aligned with those for seamless tubes in the BS EN 10216 series, enabling either seamless or welded tubes to be used in many cases. High frequency welded (HFW) steel tubes, sometimes referred to as electric resistance welded (ERW), and submerged arc welded (SAW) steel tubes are covered. HFW tubes and pipes are produced from steel strip and are electric welded without the use of added filler metal. SAW pipes are produced from steel plate and are fusion welded using appropriate welding consumables. In general HFW pipes are produced up to 610mm OD, whereas SAW pipes are not typically produced in diameters below 406.4mm. Note: BS EN 10217 steel tubes and pipes can be used for a whole range of applications from building services to critical industrial requirements involving gas or chemicals, or valve or fitting production. It is therefore very important that the specifier, designer or user selects the most suitable tube or pipe type and grade to meet their requirements from the seven standards in the series. - Differences Between ASTM A53 and ASTM A106 Steel Pipe
Differences Between ASTM A53 and ASTM A106 Steel Pipe . ASTM A53 specification covers the steel pipe manufacturing types in seamless and welded, material in carbon steel, black steel. Surface natural, black, and hot-dipped galvanized, zinc coated steel pipe. Diameters range from NPS 1 ⁄ 8 to NPS 26 (10.3mm to 660mm), nominal wall thickness. For ASTM A53 there are ERW and seamless steel pipes Type F, E, S covers Grade A and B. A53 Type F, furnace butt welded, continuous weld Grade A A53 Type E, Electric resistance welded (ERW pipe), in Grade A and Grade B. A53 Type S, Seamless steel pipe, in Grade A and Grade B. If raw steel material of different grades in process of continuously casting, the transition material result shall be identified. And the manufacturer should remove the transition material with the processes that could separate the grades positively. In case ASTM A53 Grade B in ERW (electric resistance welded) pipe, the weld seam shall be done the heat treatment with a minimum 1000 ° F [540 ° C]. In this way the no untempered martensite remains. In case ASTM A53 B pipe in cold expanded, then expansion should not exceed 1.5% of the required OD. (Please note the type F is not used for flanging, and if type S or type E is applied for coiling or cold bending, it is recommended to use ASTM A106 Grade A pipe. Construction, underground transportation, extraction of ground water while building, steam water transportation etc.Bearing sets, machinery parts processing.Electric application: Gas transmission, water power generation fluid pipeline.Wind power plant anti-static tube etc.Pipelines that required zinc coated. Especially for high temperature services that up to 750°F, and it could substitute ASTM A53 pipe in most of the cases. In some country at least in United States, usually ASTM A53 is for welded pipe while ASTM A106 is for seamless pipe. And if client asked for ASTM A53 they will also offer A106. In China, manufacturer will offer the pipe that comply to three standards ASTM A53 B / ASTM A106 B / API 5L B.

Flanges are manufactured in all the different materials to match the material of the pipe and fittings to which they are being attached. While some flanges are made of Cast Iron, the vast majority of flanges are forged carbon steel. Forged steel flanges are made in seven primary ratings: Class 150, Class 300, Class 400, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500 & Class 2500 Flange Types · Weld Neck Flanges · Slip-On Flanges · Lap Joint Flanges · Threaded Flanges · Socket Weld Flanges · Blind Flanges Forged FlangesSize :½” TO 54″Pressure Rating :150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, 2500#Material :Carbon Steel :A-105, A-350 LF2 [NACE + HIC] etc..Alloy Steel :F-5, F-9, F-11, F-22, F-91 etc.Stainless Steel :SS 304, SS 304L SS316, SS 316L, SS 316Ti, SS 321, SS 347, SS 304H, 317L, 347H, Etc..Duplex SS :F-51, F-55High Strength Steel :A694 Gr 52, 60, 65, 70, AISI 4130, 4140Nickel Alloys :Monel 400, Inconel 625, Inconel 825, Alloy 20, etc. Standards :ASME B 16.5, ASME B 16.47, API 6AType :SORF, WNRF, SWRF, BLRF, Threaded etc.Specials :Spacers, Spectacle Blinds, Drip Rings, RTJ, Tongue, Groove, Orifice, etc. 150lb Flange Length through Hub YNominal BorePipe OD AFlange dia.
